ShareSpace - IKEA

IKEA have created a new microsite called ‘ShareSpace’ for their customers to share photographs of their homes featuring IKEA furniture and décor. It’s a social way of utilising their loyal customer base to demonstrating different ways of incorporating IKEA items and sharing tips and advice.

It’s also a great way of being nosey and having a look around other people’s houses. It portrays an honest image of how IKEA products can be integrated into a home, rather than the typical sterile home set-ups. Without IKEA’s guidance, the home designs are certainly varied in quality, but it’s a brave move for a brand that trusts its customers enough to give them such a prominent platform.
